About Me

All right, all right!  I have wanted to jump in and start this blog for months now and today is the day!  I have a simple goal - to DO something every day!  That may seem simple but I have gotten in such a habit of reading about great ideas, collecting great patterns, or pinning great pins without doing anything with them.  It was in the middle of winter, in a fibromyalgic pain storm that I thought "if I can just do ONE thing today, I could feel productive!"

I was brought face to face with the "collecting of information" trend in my life when a Bible study I was in brought me to the book of James in chapter one verse 22.  "Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves".  Yikes, have I been deceiving myself?  Maybe so...this was a ponder that started in a spiritual place but bled into my whole life as everything usually does.  It doesn't matter what I know if it isn't motivating me to move from where I am.

It took me a few months to decide what to do and how to do it but I have started many things that I can't wait to report on.  With my sanguine personality, I can start almost anything with gusto, it is just the sticking to and finishing it that seems to drag on and on.  Maybe you can relate?  I have been married to a great guy for over 20 years.  Our five children range from the ages of ten to three keeping us young and busy.  Homemaking is my dream job and I can't wait to share the things I do with you!
